The comparison of the reading and the video, in my opinion, is hearing it and seeing it had a clearer vision of what he was trying to say. For example, the way he described the pac-man and triangles, reading that I would have been so lost but watching the description and then reading about it made more sense to me than just reading the script. Also, the bouba and Kiki which shape would fit the word. Now from a reading perspective, I would have been like what are the shapes. In my opinion, I still can’t tell the difference from seeing it either. I am a learner that has to listen and read something to get the full concept of something, which in this case helped to watch and then reading it then watching it and reading it again. The comparisons between the two are having the chance to go at your own pace with the reading section but also getting those visuals through a video perspective, that’s making that connection of what Geary was saying.

  • Malena,

It was so nice to learn more about you via your “About Me” page. I’m so happy that you find creative joy in building apps, etc. That’s fantastic! I’ve had a lot of positive experiences with Occupational Therapists by way of my amazing youngest son. Our OTs have had a huge impact on our lives, and I’m always happy to a student who wants to pursue occupational therapy as a career.

I’m sorry that you ran into problems publishing that last blog. It will get easier as you gain experience. I want to point out that you can listen to the audio version of Erard in addition to annotating his text. You’ll find the audio box below his author’s bio.

Thanks for persevering and rewriting those sentences. You’re amazing! đŸ™‚
